Choose Your Respawn StarDock

On ship destruction you now pick which StarDock you respawn at, defaulting to the nearest one, with a softer escape-pod narrative in the death report.

When your ship is destroyed, you now decide where the escape pod brings you back.

Choose your StarDock. The death screen lists every StarDock in your current galaxy, with the nearest one pre-selected. Confirming the default respawns you at the nearest StarDock; pick another and you’ll be towed there instead.

Nearest by default. As before, respawning doesn’t cost anything extra and you still come back with full hull and zero shield. The nearest StarDock is simply the sensible default, so the common case stays a single click.

Escape-pod narrative. The death report now adds a short flavor line describing how you were recovered — recovered at the nearest StarDock by default, or drawn to the one you selected.

No penalty change. Death still costs the same as before: 50% of your on-ship credits (only 5% with Guild Protection/insurance) and 10% of your cargo. Credits held in the Intergalactic Bank or a Sector Bank are still safe, and attribution, bounties, insurance, and Emergency Recovery Warp are unchanged.

Respawn destinations are always legitimate StarDocks in your galaxy. The same behavior applies in both The Void and The Abyss.
