Your Explored Galaxy, Now on the Map
A private fog-of-war map charts visited and scanned sectors without turning old intel into live hostile tracking.
Captains can now open a full Player Galaxy Map from the sector console or Navigation Log.
The chart reveals only sectors known to the active ship in the selected galaxy. A warp lane appears only after both ends are known, and older visited-only records show topology without inventing current port, defense, NPC, or player information.
Holographic scans and probes now preserve coarse remembered intel for the map. Every observation includes its age and becomes visibly stale instead of silently following a hostile ship or refreshing galaxy-wide defenses.
Your own ship, planets, fighters, and mines can be overlaid in explored sectors. The map stays responsive with a fully explored 1,000-sector galaxy, loads in a separate client bundle, and briefly reuses recent private map data when reopened.
Revealed topology is scaled to remain readable at every exploration stage, from a captain’s first few tightly clustered sectors through a fully charted galaxy. The map opens from the 🗺️ control beside the profile button or the 0 shortcut. Early charts automatically fit all revealed sectors, including new discoveries, while larger charts retain a readable tactical zoom around the active ship. Fit restores the full-chart overview after manual navigation. Desktop captains can use a vertical zoom slider on the map’s right edge, while touch devices retain pinch-to-zoom. Remembered ports and revealed warp lanes can be toggled as layers; selecting a sector highlights the shortest route known to that ship and can hand the destination directly to the existing Warp To planner.
