Port Crime Risk and Heat

Outlaw trade crime now uses real port state, dedicated robbery and theft inputs, diminishing loot pools, and local heat/lockdown consequences.

What changed

Port crime has been rebuilt into a more deliberate outlaw system.

  • Rob Credits now uses a dedicated attempt amount.
  • Steal Cargo now uses a dedicated commodity + quantity flow.
  • Ports show the actual credits and cargo available for crime.
  • Successful crimes reduce what remains at that port instead of letting the same amount be stolen forever.
  • Cargo you sell into a port can now become part of that port’s stealable inventory, including the classic sell-then-steal-back pattern.

Heat and getting busted

  • Every port now tracks your local heat there.
  • If you push too hard and get busted, that port locks down further crime against you for a while.
  • While you are hot there, legitimate trade prices get worse at that port.
  • Successful outlaw play drives alignment farther evil; busts push it back toward zero.

Why it matters

Outlaw play should feel like a real playstyle, not a hidden exploit button. You can now choose your risk level, watch a port’s available loot dry up, and decide whether a greedy follow-up hit is worth the local fallout.
