Public Changelog
Ship-Assisted Colonist Relocation
Over-deposited colonists are no longer stuck. Relocate them between planets in the same sector via your ship's colonist hold, or abandon them for an alignment hit. Plus, the sector planet list now shows planet names alongside their class.
What changed
Remove & relocate colonists (TW-30)
Accidentally over-populate a planet? You can now correct it from the Colonists tab of any planet you own (open the planet from the sector view):
- ๐ Relocate to ship โ load colonists onto your shipโs colonist hold (capacity =
maxCargo ร 100). For a Merchant-class ship with base 120 cargo, thatโs 12,000 colonists aboard. Fly to another planet you own in the same sector, then Deposit from Ship for free. - ๐ Abandon โ strand colonists in open space. No ship capacity used, but costs 1 alignment per 100 colonists abandoned. Use sparingly.
Both flows require your ship to be in the same sector as the planet and cost 1 Action Point. Abandonment is tracked in the asset event log and shifts alignment immediately. Relocation is free (apart from the colonist-hold fuel cost already baked into the Transport Colonists StarDock flow that originally loaded them).
Sector planet list now shows names
The planet list under each sector now renders โPlanet Name (Class)โ (e.g., Earth (M)) for named planets, falling back to the class name (e.g., Earth Type) for unnamed worlds. Quick scan, no surprises.
What this means for play
You can now rebalance population between planets you own โ say, siphoning 15k excess off an M-class that maxed at 15k and dumping them onto a hungry O-class in the same sector that holds 200k. No more stranding colonies on the wrong world, and no more alignment-scrubbing just to start over.
Version bumped to 0.9.20.
