Warp Death UX Fix
Moving through a route no longer hides ship destruction behind an open modal. If fighters, mines, or Q-cannons destroy you during a warp, the death screen appears immediately and all navigation modals close.
What changed
Death during warp now surfaces immediately
Previously, if your ship was destroyed by hostile fighters (or mines/Q-cannons) while using Warp To or the route overlay, the open navigation modal could hide the death notice. You might find yourself back in FedSpace with an open route planner and only see the destruction message after closing the modal — or as an “away death” on refresh.
Now:
- The Plot Course modal, warp confirmation, and route overlay all close immediately on death.
- The death modal appears right away with the entry report.
- The active route is cleared so you don’t accidentally trigger another jump after respawning.
Overlapping warp protections
- The route overlay’s Warp button is now disabled while a warp is already in progress.
- It shows “Warping…” so you know the click registered and can’t double-fire.
What this means for play
Dying during auto-piloted or manual route warps should now feel immediate and clear instead of confusingly silent. No more surprise respawns hidden behind an open modal.
