Rename Your Planets
Planet owners can now give their colonies custom names through the planet modal. A small quality-of-life win for beta testers building empires across the void.

What changed
Planet renaming
Owners can now rename any planet they control. Open a planet from the sector view or your Owned Planets list, then click the ✏ edit icon next to the planet name in the modal header.
- Names must be 2–30 characters.
- Allowed characters: letters, numbers, spaces, hyphens, and underscores.
- Names cannot contain
@or/characters. - Renaming is free and updates immediately across the UI.
Where you’ll see the new name
- Planet modal header.
- Owned Planets list.
- Captain’s Log entries when your Q-Cannon fires on intruders.
- Combat and death logs when planetary defenses are involved.
What this means for play
Your empire can now feel a little more personal. Whether you name a world after yourself, your crew, or a particularly unlucky intruder, the name sticks to the planet and shows up wherever the planet is referenced.
