What changed
Q-Cannon / Sector Defense
- Death reports now show Q-cannon details — If planetary defenses destroy your ship, the death modal shows the source planet, total damage, shield absorbed, hull damage, and resources spent by the shot.
- Q-cannon deaths are now tracked as Q-cannon deaths instead of being lumped into generic fighter-defense deaths.
- Q-cannon fire now consumes planet resources — Shots draw from fuel first, then organics, then equipment. Repeated attacks can now weaken sustained sector defense fire.
- Failed destructive warp attempts are now logged so sector-defense investigations have better audit data.
Navigation
- Active routes now respect avoided sectors more consistently. If a sector is added to your avoid list, existing route guidance is cleared when that route would pass through the avoided sector.
- Auto-route next hops no longer point into avoided sectors unless that avoided sector is the actual destination.
- StarDock routing now uses the same avoided-sector rules as Plot Course.
Sector Bank
- Fixed a display bug where sector bank credit deposits or withdrawals could temporarily double-apply in the UI, showing negative or inflated ship credits until the next sector refresh.
Enemy Planets
- Non-owned planet views now show disabled previews for upcoming actions like Claim / Seize / Assault, Raid Resources, Sabotage Q-Cannon, and Plant Charge.
- These are visible roadmap affordances only for now; the full planet-combat and conquest flow is still in progress.
What this means for play
- Sector lockdowns should now be easier to understand and plan around.
- Coordinated assaults can meaningfully drain Q-cannon resource reserves over repeated hits.
- Avoided-sector routing should no longer silently guide you back into a sector you marked as dangerous.
- Sector bank balances should stay visually correct without needing to warp away and back.
