What changed
Hull / Shield Repair
- Fixed a bug where some death and movement paths used a ship’s turn capacity as its hull or shield cap.
- StarDock repair now correctly clamps overhealed hull/shield values back to the ship’s real upgraded maximums.
- Q-cannon death reports now receive the ship’s effective max hull/shield values, so the death modal no longer falls back to turn capacity for the hull display.
Captain’s Journal Events
- Q-cannon ship destructions now create a SHIP DESTROYED event for the victim.
- The Events tab can now show Q-cannon death details after the modal is closed, including total damage, shield absorbed, hull damage, and resources spent.
- The Events filter now includes Ship Destroyed.
Avoided-Sector Routing
- Fixed Plot Course fallback when avoided sectors block all safe routes.
- If no safe route exists, Plot Course now shows the shortest risky route, highlights avoided sectors in the path, and requires explicit confirmation to route or warp through anyway.
- Active route guidance now supports this explicit avoided-sector override instead of silently clearing the route.
What this means for play
- StarDock should no longer show impossible states like
120 / 80hull or120 / 0shields after a death. - Q-cannon combat data is now available in the Captain’s Journal, not only in the immediate death modal.
- Avoiding a chokepoint sector no longer makes the destination feel impossible when a risky route still exists.
