Fighter Bay Upgrades & Planet Fighter Collection

Two long-requested features land together: expandable fighter bays at StarDock, and the ability to collect fighters from your planets.

Fighter Bay Upgrades

Your ship now has an upgradeable fighter bay. Visit any StarDock to expand your capacity beyond the base class limit:

TierBonusCumulative (Merchant)Cost
Fighter Bay Mk I+50 capacity25050,000 cr
Fighter Bay Mk II+150 capacity350150,000 cr
Fighter Bay Mk III+300 capacity500300,000 cr

Upgrades are sequential — you must purchase Mk I before Mk II, and Mk II before Mk III. Purchased capacity persists across sessions and is enforced when buying or collecting fighters.

Your current fighter capacity is displayed in the StarDock under a new Fighter Bay section, and on your Ship Status panel in the main sector view.

Planet Fighter Collection

Planets have been producing fighters for a while — but there was no way to use them. Now you can:

  • Withdraw fighters from a planet to your ship — open the Planet Modal, switch to the Transport tab, and transfer fighters just like fuel or equipment.
  • Deposit fighters from your ship to a planet — store your fleet on a planet for safekeeping.

Collected fighters respect your Fighter Bay capacity. If you try to withdraw more than your ship can carry, you’ll be prompted to upgrade at StarDock first. Planet fighter storage caps still apply (based on planet class and citadel level).

Other Improvements

  • Discord notification reliability improved for PvP kills — Fighter Bay and bounty webhook secrets are now properly recognized by the server.
  • Fighter Bay upgrades appear alongside existing upgrades at StarDock with consistent pricing and prerequisite rules.
  • The Fighters & Mines and StarDock guides have been updated with the new features.
