Public Changelog
Turn Refreshes, Fair Play, and the Port Economy
Older ships should refresh turns correctly, leaderboard cleanup is underway, and the next economy pass will focus on port balance based on player feedback.
What changed
Daily turn refreshes now handle older and original ships correctly. If you created your ship before recent update work, it should recover turns like newer ships do.
We also cleaned up several exploit paths and started normalizing leaderboard-impacting results. The goal is simple: standings should reflect real play, not loopholes.
Why it changed
Turns are the heartbeat of a TradeWars-style game. Returning captains should not be penalized because their ship predates newer systems.
Fair play matters for the same reason. Trade, combat, and risk all feel better when the galaxy is using the same rules. Cleaning up exploits helps keep progression readable and leaderboards trustworthy.
Player feedback
Players have also flagged that the port economy needs another balance pass. Some trade routes can feel too flat, while others can become too dominant once discovered.
That feedback is useful. Trading should reward exploration and sharp decisions without turning into a single solved loop.
What’s next
The next planned balance pass is a port economy rebalance. The target is a healthier trading game: clearer opportunities, less runaway behavior, and better reasons to keep scouting the map.
Keep sending reports when something feels off. The best logs start with a captain noticing the instruments are lying.
